A personal favorite of mine, Local Sixfortyseven, has been nominated for Good Morning America’s best food cart competition. I first experienced Local 647, a mobile farm-to-fork kitchen focusing on local sustainable food, while visiting Barrel Oak Winery (see my earlier post). Sourcing all of their ingredients locally, some from their own garden, owners Derek Luhowiak and his wife, Amanda have created a fun, friendly atmosphere where people of all ages can enjoy a delicious, farm fresh, local meal.
