Vermont Wine Industry Growing In Popularity

The Times Argus published a recent story on the growth of the Vermont wine industry. The story cites the growing popularity of local wines and the recent success at the Eastern States Exposition contest as important factors that have helped spur the growth. With 17 wineries on the map, and more to come, Vermont is poised to follow in the footsteps of neighboring New England states.

The typical perception is Vermont wine is not great, but I think that’s going to change because I’ve tasted a lot of Vermont wines that are very good,” said Megyn Pitner, manager at CafĂ© Provence in Brandon.
